Jeanneau 54 DS “Cadence” – Fully Upgraded, Turnkey Bluewater Cruiser
Jeanneau 54 DS "Cadence" was purchased while stored at Nanny Cay in the British Virgin Islands, a premier boatyard known for its comprehensive services ideal for maintaining cruising sailboats. In 2021, the mast of "Cadence" was removed for recoating, and it received new lighting and wiring. During this period, Wickhams Cay undertook the replacement of the standing rig. The following year, significant upgrades were made, including the installation of solar panels and Victron battery-management systems, accompanied by a new set of Life Line AGM house batteries. Additionally, a new Dodger Bimini was acquired from Quantum.
In 2023, the mainsail was replaced with a Blue Water main from Doyle, which also conducts annual inspections and necessary repairs on all sails. The upgrade trajectory continued into 2024 with a new suite of Raymarine instruments, enhancing navigation with an autopilot controller, tri-data, and speed/depth features. Looking ahead to 2025, Jeanneau 54 DS "Cadence" has undergone a major refit of its teak deck along with minor hull paint repairs, ensuring that it remains in pristine condition for future voyages.

He has 5 transatlantic catamaran deliveries as skipper and numerous European, Caribbean and East coast USA trips on his extensive sailing resume, he has skippered virtually every model of Lagoon catamaran from the 380 up-to the 560 as well as many other makes in his role as charter skipper in the Leeward Islands and the BVI, he has a deep technical understanding of all yacht mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and electronic systems and specializes in helping clients navigate through the path to become a yacht owner and owner operator in the charter yacht industry.
He lives aboard his classic sailboat sailing between the BVI, USVI and the Spanish Virgin Islands and is ready to help you in all aspects of buying or selling your next yacht.
